Sometimes I will have a new perspective
or information or resource that I will want to share
and this will be the place I will put it. I will be sure to let you know when
it is last updated--

This page will continually evolve......
| The most interesting issue that I have just begun
to do some reading about is something that many of you are experiencing in the work place. Right now there are 4 different generations working together. The impact of these different groups, their different life experiences and values are just beginning to be understood. The Veterans: born 1922-1943 The Boomers: born 1944-1960 The Xers: born 1960-1980 The Nexters: born 1980-2000 These dates come from a book called Generations at Work, by Ron Zemke, Claire Raines and Bob Filipczak. (2000) |
In her book, eLeadership, Proven Techniques for Creating an Environment of Speed and Flexibilty in the Digital Economy, Susan Annunzio has a chapter that discusses the differences between Boomers and Xers and their approach to work. She also has some tips to facilitate understanding and communication. |
