Sheila Weisblatt MS
National Certified Career Counselor

Sheila Weisblatt, a career counselor & coach, works with clients through her business, momentum career consulting and shares a private practice with the Career & Personal Development Institute in San Francisco's Financial District. Sheila provides counseling, coaching and consulting services for individuals and organizations on work related issues, including career, performance, professional growth and work/life balance. Sheila supports her clients through a process of making positive changes in both work and life choices. She helps them find effective solutions to work around barriers to making changes, both emotional and logistical.

Sheila has worked with employees at Sun Microsystems, Hewlett Packard and American Express. She has also worked with individuals in the former non-profit career centers, Alumnae Resources and Career Action Center. Her work inside all these organizations included counseling, training and facilitation. Sheila has been quoted in the SF Chronicle, San Jose Mercury News and InfoWorld on career, management and the workplace issues.

More recently, Sheila had an opportunity to teach post-graduate counseling students at San Francisco State University. She found teaching counseling students gratifying; integrating practice with counseling theory. In addition, Sheila was a co-coordinator of the Bay Area Chapter of the California Career Counseling Association for 4 years. She continues to be involved with planning events for the local chapter.

Fourteen years ago, Sheila made a major career change from the banking industry to become a career counselor. She has a masters degree in career counseling from San Francisco State University and is a National Certified Career Counselor.

"The focus of my work is to help my clients make positive changes in their work/life. I work with them to gain clarity about themselves and provide some perspectives about the process of making a change. I believe that by emphasizing both clarity and perspective, change is possible."
